ESA Plating Administrative building & Assemble plant |

Společnost se specializuje zejména na dodávky galvanických technologií do technicky náročných odvětví strojírenského průmyslu. Prioritu tvoří letecký průmysl a odvětví s ním související. Průmyslové areály obvykle definuje velikost hal a nutná obslužnost nákladní dopravou vymezující okolní plochy. Návrh vyplývá i z předpokládané etapizace výstavby.

Casa Serena Golf Hotel [author studio pha] |

Návrh luxusního hotelu určenému především pro V.I.P. hosty resortu reaguje na požadovaný objem stavby přirozený zapojením do původního krajinného rázu. Jednoduchá hmota připomínající golfový míček deformovaný energií ostrého “drivu” klidně sedí v úpatí terénní vlny. Vzedmutá vlna parteru vytváří reprezentativní hlavní vstup a jako přizvednutý koberec golfového greenu poodhaluje vnitřní svět velkorysého hotelového foyeur. Budova mění svou tvář spolu s ročními obdobími díky stínícímu systému z rastru dřevěných svislých lamel porostlých popínavými rostlinami. Vegetace prostupuje i prostorná vnitřní atria a zelenou střechu. Hmota tak nepůsobí agresivně ani ze vzdálených pohledových úhlu rozlehlého areálu luk a golfových greenů.

Lasvit Stand "Temple of light" [author studio pha] |

Expozici definovala objemná plastika Supernova, vyžadující centrální prostor a masivní závěsný systém adekvátní její váze. Jádro hvězdy exploduje a tříští do tmy zářící fragmenty hmoty.

3) Technologie – konstruktivistická kubická forma instalace odkazuje k jednoduchosti a efektivitě technologie, dynamická choreografie tanečníků, jako elementů perfektně fungujícího a živého stroje.

Perspective from Hloubětínská

Community centre Hloubětín / Komunitní centrum Hloubětín H55 |

Proposal follows traditional urban principles of the given site and it`s architectural context. It is suggested as two storey building with the saddle roof. Definite composition brings to the site stable dignified mass as a confirmatory of site`s value – but attractive and iconic at the same time.
It`s defined by two main axes. The first one is created by plinth-looking mass of the first floor deflecting moderately from the building plot to open attractive prospect to the st. George church when looking towards the ascending path. And second one at cross intersection meant as main communication path. It connects newly proposed village green and community center garden with it`s interior. First floor integrates the central café with the multifunctional hall, second is used for the City library with elliptic skylights and community common rooms in the wooden building part. Garden proposal is freely inspired by monastery gardens – usually clearly defined areas by it`s walls, piece of paradise in the middle of the former dismal area.

Specific architectural graphics were created for the book summarizing works of Rotterdam based firm Nio architecten. They follow the unique catalog concept including theoretical and philosophical texts. Classical technical drawings should metamorphose into a narrative and associative illustration developing character of each project. Nio used to call every project by the original nickname. In the case of Hoofdorp bus station it`s Amazing whale jaw. However it could be interpreted in absolutely free manner. As the boulder worn by the footsteps or light of sights, intuitive result of the design process or like anything else. “Like the white face of a geisha, every opinion and image can be projected onto the building and it has no answers of its own.”

In that line Hoofdorp graphics bring ambiguous, indefinite presence that need to be explored. Motives of science, microbiology, organic growth, varies of landscape erosions, planet surfaces and technology freely connected to the significance of the drawing.

Dilmah Tea Lounge [author studio pha] |

Interior tea boutique, where products of the Dilmah company are presented, is located in the functionalist passage Broadway in Prague street Na Příkopech. In the design we have assumed the distinctive elements of the original architecture, which we tried to follow the current approach. The central motif is the original skylight, a sort of centerpiece of the entire space, which then geometrically follows wooden slat structure. This structure gives the entire – otherwise broken space – bright and compact shape.
The individual slats are made of Multiplex, thickness 21mm, birch veneer, “BB” quality.
The floor system is squeegee-grade microtopping in anthracite color.
The interior is complemented by simple shapes of furniture to minimalist furniture, including two presentation desks made from MDF.

New York Skyscraper |

Free project of the residential skyscraper in the center of the Manhattan. Considering the social relations skyscraper form exceeds the conception of a `house` by the number of people who live in it.
And it`s much more far from the natural human environment.
Structure transcripts the qualities of a classical planar urban planning to a vertical space as much as possible by using several basic parameters. 1/ City space is created by the buildings and space among them (it`s a approx. 50%). The structure works with voids among the mass. 2/ Dividing the hierarchy regarding equivaletnt ratio between private and public zones 3/ With the increasing height living floors get more distant from the level of the city and lose their relation to it more public spaces appear and building and the outer spaces change fluently to the inner ones (also because of the temperature, wind, etc..) So it creates an independent inner world in the high levels. 4) The maximum size of the social group shouldn`t exceed 150 people to avoid anonymity. For the given size of the site it means approx. 30 meters of the height for one unit. Like that the building is divided to the `districts` and for each of them there is a public space.
Putting the basic principles (outer vs inner, fig. xy) of the groundfloor scheme to the height using the 30 meters modul and fluent interconnection between them resulted in a sinusoide looking structure. In a vertical space with optimal changing of the voids and the building mass. The vital space with residential `components` surrounding the green public space or being surrounded by it. Vertical space with no uniformity – space with characteristic mood for each `district`.

Czechoslovak RAF pilots memorial / Památník letcům 1939-45 České Budějovice |

“Silná dualita dvou prvků, vyprávějící příběh spojení sil Čs letců a RAF v obraně základních hodnot proti totalitnímu režimu. Dva národy v jednom letectvu. Jeden boj.”

“Osud letců je i příběhem mezi nebem a zemí. Nebem, kde se odehrávaly dramatické vzdušné souboje a které vzdáleně prosvítalo ve vzpomínkách či nadějích za totalitní mříží. A zemí ke které se řítili v posledních chvílích života položeného za vlast, aby v ní byli posléze pohřbeni, nebo za kterou bojovali a následně v ní byli perzekuováni, nemohli se do ní vrátit či v ní svobodně žít.
Nebe a země. Dva světy. Bojující a padlí. Reflexivní vrchlík zrcadlící prostor a betonový sokl. Kříže na nebi a kříže v zemi. Odraz stožáru s národní vlajkou nad emblémem RAF. Horizontála a vertikála.

Europan 10 / Munich |

Herzog Wilhelm-Strasse site was chosen for the Europan competition to develop a revitalization vision considering a principle of vertical multifuncionality. Location takes the place of former medieval fortification. The street forms a boundary between between conservation area of historical part of Munich with apparent medieval street planning and generously planned 19th century residential blocks close to the busy boulevard Sonnen Strasse. Nowadays the quiet heterogenous location is characterized by a technical infrastructure also. Main intention was to bring a new attractive city environment with a varied life and reintegrate the street to the pedestrian ring around the old city. It consist of variable green public space and vertically structured high rised longintudial building. Vertical layering of functions instead of spreading required square meters to the area brings the public space to the street level. It`s levels are connected from the public ground up via comfortable ramps, staircases and small pedestrian bridge across the road. Proposed club, daily used as a café/cinema-café, restaurant or as a music club, theatre, cabaret with all necessary service spaces is accessible from both public levels. Complex character of the non-attractive area on the verge of city centre assumes that younger generation will be major part of future users.

Soccer stadium close to the Prague center at Zizkov with the capacity around 20.000 seats. The entire emblematic structure as the opening element of the Zizkov district. The structure is generated from the diagram of the most natural movement of people and traffic . The site is heavily exposed place close to the Prague city centre surrounded by dense residential area and next to a massive Havliček`s funcionalistic Trade Unions house. In a such area this stadium avoids creating a big mass. It`s an artifficial landscape with the tribunes more or less hidden in the ground under the road level providing spaces for the green and other public activities. From the main road it grades in the direction of the ascending terrain to the top of the hill with another Zizkov dominant – Aulický`s TV tower.

Restaurant proposal / Front view

Zanzibar Resort |

Restaurant proposal as a part of a study of a large project for coastal Zanzibar resort. Requested were easily personal servicable space simultaneously offering as many dining plots with good views to the ocean as possible. Appropriate measured geometry of a voronoi diagram divides the disposition to a stone human measure platforms. These are leveled cascadally according to the slightly ascending terrain. Dividing the space by multiple heights brings a less uniform atmosphere and bit more privacy for each table. Regionally used construction of wooden vertical columns are using next dimension of voronoi geometry (delaunay tringulation) and grow up from the centres of stone plots determining points of the thatch roof.
Dominating fortressly looking concrete structures serves as the vertical communications including technological background as the toilets, storages, restaurant kitchen and the second floor panoramatic bar in the central “stone”.
Random figure of the stones lies in the floating wooden landscape.

Elementary School at Uvaly extension and refurbishment |

Old school campus consisted of a nice building from classicism era and two non consistent extensions from the 70`s & 90`s. Because of a quite exposed road leading through the main square the town was also missing the main public square usual for the natural urbanism of czech town. Proposal avoids of closing former school buildings to a rigid block. If so the original classicist building would also lose it`s dignity and free public square would disappear. A new shape of school developes from the most functional interconnection among the communication cores of the school campus. Two wings of building mass opens to the new town square and lets the space breathe. It creates the new attractive centre of a town life. The new school should partly work as a new cultural and public institution. In that line is proposed inner disposition of a ground floor – multifunctional hall (canteen), library, pc room connected with i-cafe, inner yard for cultural activities with summer cinema. Under the main inner yard are children cloakrooms with shiny atrium working as a central space connecting the whole campus.

Hierarchy of the spaces works in three levels to separate all processes (public, employees, haulage..) as much as possible. The ground floor serves both for the public and employees – including pilots` rooms and a fire department in the tail of the building. It`s placed straightly over garage with fire dept. truck, ambulance and CARGO with the access for lorries in the underground. Last level is used as a panoramatic restaurant and technical block (tower, administration). The structure is constructed of light laminate artifical frames (similar material used for constructing planes) coated with coloured composite metal sheet.

Prague | Bertramka cemetery revitalization / Footbridges with columbariums above former burial places | Prague | Bertramka cemetery revitalization Conceptual scheme | Prague | Bertramka cemetery revitalization
The concept for the unused Prague cemetery – formerly based on the city edge, now it is close to the spreading city poly-center Smíchov. The whole cemetery is not maintained for a quiet long time. Whole area is closed and it`s not maintained. Suggested structure keeps the former burial landscape and floats above the former ivy surface which covers all of the graves. Around high trees trunks form circular platforms with radial columbariums for urn storaging. Connecting by foot bridges creates the new cemetery level. If so the old non-used cemetery would bring next burial places and attract people to the site again.

Master Plan for the Public Administration Town Chungcheongnam-do / Competition for master plan for growth core of the new Korean public administration city. There was no entry parameters instead of few fixed roads with a minimal possible displacing and percentage of area of expected zones. How to create a new city on a green field? Proposal follows from the geometry of original landscape. It mainly plays with interlacing of layers of territory lines in different scales. I used them as a basic geometry – to each of them were added various thicknesses and distances among them. It depended how dense urbanization or wide of the communication I expected to be appropriate. These intersections of the layers created a first work diagram. In the site were small areas of pine trees which should have been preserved. The connection of these areas in combination with riverside created a green ring with parks, bicycle paths, playgrounds around the whole city. South zone was flooded by the river creating a new city lake.
